How to play Raidstead
Learn the systems that matter, then make your own plan. The world runs at x3 speed and continues while you are away.
Choose a play style
Your people determine unit costs, speed, defence, and economic strengths. The registration screen describes every enabled choice and marks a forgiving option for new commanders.
There is no universally best people. A defensive economy rewards patience; a raiding force rewards frequent attention; a balanced force leaves more room to change plans.
Plan the first day
- Raise the lowest resource fields.
- Keep warehouse and granary capacity ahead of the next cost.
- Build toward a Muster Yard and one troop line.
- Inspect nearby barbarian targets before choosing a raid.
- Join other players before a larger rival notices you.
Know who you are fighting
Human players use ordinary account names. Computer-controlled rivals are plainly labelled AI in their name and profile. Barbarian villages are neutral grey farms rather than players pretending to be people.
